Science Indicators of Turkey: 1997-2006 1997-2006 Türkiye Bilim G stergeleri Analizi

In this article, the rapid increase of publications and citations of publications from Turkey is analyzed for the period 1997-2006 using ISI’s Essential Science Indicators. Specialization and citation impact according to scientific disciplines, the internationally co-authored publications are given using bibliometric in dicators. The importance of bibliometric analysis for the research evaluation and science and technology indicators is also emphasized.
