Identifica o dos vegetais tóxicos da cidade de Campina Grande-PB

The Lauro Pires Xavier forest flower garden is located near the Bondocongo artificial lake in the city of Campina Grande, Paraíba State. The forest flower garden is an important area, which is maintained by the city hall and has the purpose of preservation and conservation of species. Utilizing the nursery, the municipal district has conditions to increase the green areas and to provide to the population leisure and calmness. The objective this work was to determine the toxic species who are destined to the urban tree planting and ornamentation, putting in focus the common name, family, scientific name, origin and size. It was made visit in situ, and have been used photographs and bibliographical review, the form was filled for each species. According to studies, it was observed a vast frequency of the Euphorbiaceae family; it was verified that the majority of the produced vegetables is of exotic specie, and also that among the studied species there is a considerable quantity of vegetables which has a little toxic levels. The Lauro Pires Xavier forest flower garden has a great importance for the city due the flora growth, where vegetables are produced to the urban tree planting and ornamentation, exclusively.
