The University occupies a special place in the social space, especially in theeducational niche. Thus, it is obvious that the presence of reflection of this institutionin all historical periods. On the ground of Polish science figure of Twardowskideserves the honored place. This great scholar enrolled permanently in the Polishthought not only philosophical, but also pedagogical, educational, sociological, etc..This article organizes the thought sequentially around the figure of Twardowski, thedignity of the university, the idea of the university and the freedom of the university.
