Moral, Religion, and Politics in I. KantKeywords: I. Kant , God , Moral , Theology Abstract: At the end of the Critique of Judgment, Kant addresses the problem of the proofs of the existence of God and carries out a detailed examination of the only proof he considers capable of eliciting assent: the moral proof. The article reviews the path followed by Kant in order to reach the idea of a moral author of the world on the basis of his analysis of the purposiveness of nature, and shows how this argument is linked to Kant’s ethical-political doctrine as set forth in his other works.
