Tools used to measure the quality of life in patients with cardiovascular diseases

The assessment of health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is considered to be an important measure of the influence of disease and treatment on the life of patients with cardiovascular diseases. The study is a brief review of both generic and specific measuring tools used in a quality of life evaluation in patients with cardiovascular diseases. An enormous interest in the quality of life is responsible for development of new scientific tools, especially questionnaires and analogue scales. The application of a particular study questionnaire depends on the purpose of our study. Understandably, choosing an appropriate questionnaire is problematic. Needless to say, the type of questionnaire used in a study should be adequate to an individual clinical case.
