Contributos para a elabora o de um catálogo WEB das paisagens do Entre Douro e Minho

The present work exposes the methodology followed to model the creation of a Web catalogue for the landscapes in the region Entre Douro e Minho (REDM) in Portugal. The study is founded by the research of literature by various authors that have studied the subject of landscape, both in Portugal and elsewhere, in order to discover the most used units and their weights in the differentiation of landscape (topography, land use, soil type, rainfall, temperature, hydrographic network and population density), including the interpretation of landscapes and an understanding of its spatial variation. The differentiation and characterization of landscapes became visible by the elaboration of six “transepts” in REDM covering 7 paths in the field to obtain a comprehensive view of the region under study, as also field data on the landscapes studied. Following the methodology led to a proposal of a Web catalogue for landscapes, "innovative product" in Portugal, to provide rapid and accessible information about the diverse range of landscape units present in the region Entre Douro and Minho.
