Autopsia en Cuba en el siglo XXI Necropsy in Cuba in the XXI century

A partir del criterio que la autopsia es el estudio más completo del enfermo/enfermedad y garantía de calidad en la medicina y por tanto, la necesidad de su revitalización y máximo aprovechamiento, se exponen las acciones y sus ejecutores para lograr lo que debe ser la autopsia en el siglo XXI. En Cuba aunque la situación no es crítica como en otros países, aún está pendiente la puesta en vigor de un Programa Nacional de Autopsias que oficialice la puesta en práctica de estas acciones. Starting from the criteria that necropsy is the most complete study of the sick person/disease, and the guarantee of quality in medicine, it is stated the need of its strengthening and maximal use. Actions and their executors are exposed to attain what a necropsy should be in the XX century. In Cuba , although the situation is not as critical as in other countries, a National Program of Necropsies making official the beginning of these actions is pending.
