Abstract:

In the paper accuracy of GPS kinematics measurements is analyzed. GPS (Global Positioning System) apparatus Stratus (Sokkia) and Pro Mark2 (Aschtech) were tested. Testing was realized on the points of the geodetic network – the testing station Badín stabilized in the Central Slovak Region nearby Banská Bystrica. The semikinematics method STOP and GO was realized from the kinematics GPS methods. The terrestrial geodetic measurements by means of using the total station Nicon 352 were also realized in the testing station for a purpose of the most objective to appreciate GPS measurements accuracy. On the base of achieved results it is possible to state that the applied kinematics GPS method of measurement verified requirements on the positional GPS measurements accuracy. The particular results of accuracy especially for the positional coordinates are acceptable for a various applications in surveying and geodetic practice, what are cadastral and geological mapping and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) applications. So in close future there it is waited that GPS method of measurement will completely substitute more difficult terrestrial geodetic methods used in the present practice also in real estate register, geological survey and GIS.
