QUINCKE EDEMA CAUSED BY IOPROMIDE AT UROGRAPHYKeywords: Quincke edema , iodic contrast agents , urography Abstract: The paper presents a clinic image, course and curing of ihe Quincke edemamanifested in swollen eye lids in a 51 years oSd female patient. It appeared K) minutesafter an injection application of non-ionic ionic contrast agent (ICA) (iopromide;Ultravist 300 - Scheving) at urography.The authors point to the fact that the application of non-ionic ICA does not providefor absolute patients' protection; on the contrary, even these ICA can lead to aserious reaction. Moreover, they stress the importance of knowing possiblecomplications at applying ionic contrast agents as well as to the importance ofpossessing anti-shock therapy and equipment.
