A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APROACH TO THE PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY PROTECTION - THERE IS NO DILEMMA

The protection of the oral health, regarding health in general, is possible by a multidisciplinary approach (accouchement, pediatrics, dentistry, polyvalent patronage) in the prevention. In the Dentistry Counsel an interview is being carried out by the questionnaire on the "Screening for the Emergence of Caries". The questionnaire comprises 1729 parents of the children of 3 months to 6 years of age in 1998. Tt has been found that the overall risk for the caries-emergence is medium in 74,31 % of the children. Only 40,02% are breast-fed at the age from 7 to 9 months. The feeding addition in the form of the bottle and nipple is in 76,52% of the children. In 18,68% of the children the fluorides are occasionally added.
