Büyük Gü lerin Berlin Antla mas ’n n Uygulanmas na Y nelik Bask lar //// Political Pressures of the Great Powers for the Implementation of the Berlin TreatyKeywords: Great Powers , Ottoman Empire , Treaty of Berlin , Sultan Abdulhamid II Abstract: This article examines the political pressures of the Great Powers on the Ottoman Empire for the implementation of the Treaty of Berlin (1878) along with the consequences of these political pressures. The article argues that although the Ottoman sultan Albulhamid II did his best to delay the implementation of the treaty with a hope to revive the rivalry among the Great Powers and save at least some portions of the land the Ottomans lost, his act exacerbated the situation by bringing along the foreign intervention in the Ottoman internal affairs.
