Balkan Sava lar n n ttihat ve Terakki Politikalar na Etkisi//// The Effects of Balkan Wars on the Policies of the Union and Progress Party

The Union and Progress Party, which scrutinized the Ottoman governments like a shadow government since the 1908 revolution, established its political control before the Balkan Wars were over. This article examines the effects of the Balkan Wars on the political ideology of the Union and Progress Party, and argues that after the Balkan Wars the ideology of the party shifted from Ottomanism toward Turkish nationalism and Islamism.
