Greeks who were living in Thrace and Western Anatolia, began migrating towards Greece in early 1914. Ottoman Government had put commodities of these Greeks under protection. Also commodities of those Greeks who were under forced migration after First World War were put under protection as well. Moreover, by preparation of “Rum Emval-i Metr ke Talimatnamesi”, how abandoned property by migrated Greeks both before and after war, will be managed and protected were put forward in detail. By this preparation, Greeks who would turn back to their living places after war would be returned their commodities.
