Court records of the Ottoman Empire has been written for many years regularly to the registers. It is possible to find in this book, known as er’iye Sicilleri or Kad Sicilleri, administrative, political, economic, religious, social related to documentation. These books, in terms of document types are also varied. These include hüccet, ilam, ferman, berat, buyruldu, hüküm and so on. In this article, my aim is to examine The er’iye Sicili of Kayseri, dated 1678-1679. We understand from this register that in Kayseri, home, vineyards, shops and fields have been made of the sales process. Individuals, their own or their partner property, able to sell to others. In this study, I will try to make an assessment about the sale of property by giving examples from documents recorded in the register
