This article discusses the soviet memorialization of Jewish victims murdered during World War II. The main attention is devoted to the question of under where and what circumstances Jewish victims ocurred, how they were named and interpreted in soviet politics of commemoration and thus also how these determined the forms of remembrance in the memorial landscape
