Mezopotamya, Anadolu ve M s r Medeniyetlerinde Güne Kültü//// The Cult of the Sun in Mesopotamia, Anatolia and the Egypt Civilizations

This study examines why the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt and Anatolia gave emphasis to celestial powers, especially the Sun. Among the divinized celestial powers, the Sun was highly respected in these civilizations. Because the sun has been regarded as the source of power to give life and as the source of fertility, its significance was elevated. Hence, the residences of arable and fertile lands often worshipped a either Sun god or a Sun goddess.
