This study, analyzes the impacts of agricultural capitalism that evolved with the Industrial Revolution on the Ottoman Empire and the ramifications of this impact in Tarsus. One of the most important results of this process was that institutional changes in the center regarding the agricultural sector had led to a transition to commercial farming and an increase in the production potential.
