This article examines the missionary activities of the American personnel in the American Christian Hospital of Konya, which was opened by the missionaries of the American Board in 1912. According to Ottoman sources, although the Ottoman authorities were aware of the explicit missionary effort to proselytize the local Muslim population, they allowed the hospital to remain open until World War I. Later on the hospital was reopened and reclosed several times until it was closed permanently in 1923.
