Century; “Armenian Issue” whichwas given rise at the end of the 1877-78 Ottoman Russia War by thetreaties of “Ayastefanos” and “Berlin”; kept not only Ottoman Empire butalso western states which were the real provokers of the problem engagedfor a long time. These countries supported Armenian Committees whichwere established against Ottoman Empire. All kinds of disorderscommitted by Armenian Commitees were supported by all of themissionaries and foreign schools in Ottoman Empire. Western presspresented the event which occured in Tokat in 1897 as if Armenians wastargetted by this event and thus they carried out their roles in this great scam successfuly. Ottoman Empire followed external press in the face ofsuch a propoganda and tried to revise the distorted news.
