During World War I a new an Anti-Ottoman propaganda started in Europe and it intensified especially in Switzerland after the war. This article argues that the main goal of the intensified post-war anti-Turkish propaganda, which was led by the Greeks and Armenians in Switzerland, was to legitimize the Greek invasion of Western Anatolia and divert the attention away from the human rights violations of the Greek army. In response to this propaganda mechanism, some Turks founded the Ottoman Association for the Defence of Rights.
