ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT OF UNILATERAL CLEFT LIP AND PALATE WITH RB STIMULATOR PRECIDING ERUPTION OF THE PRIMARY DENTITION - A CASE REPORT

The authors of this text intend to present the results of RB stimulator application, without the extra-oral fixation, in the treatment of unilateral, complete primary and secondary cleft palate on the left side. A special aspect of this therapy is the period proceeding the eruption of deciduous teeth, because of hardened retention of the stimulator in the mouth. The authors wished to avoid the retention of the appliance by using the already customary cap on the head metal extensions coming out of the stimulator.
