PERSAMAAN, PERBEDAAN, DAN FEMINISME: STUDI KASUS KONFLIK SAMPANG-MADURA

This Research is to find the connection between the notion of politics of difference based on feminist perspective andthe social conflict in the Indonesian society. The Notion of politics of difference in feminism context sees that the majorproblem in our society is not to adapt equality but rather how to adapt with difference in our society. This research alsoargues that when there is conflicts between communities, women always become the first casualties. Another problemis the dichotomy of the public sphere and the private sphere in oursocial, political, and economical systems, which arebased on universalism cannot accept differences of values and tent to force the system to only recognice the values ofthe majority.
