Rigorismo ascético y polémica antijudía en el presbítero Eutropio (siglo V)

The fifth century presbyter Eutropius, ecclesiastical writer probably native of Hispania or Aquitaine, was a paradigmatic example of how Late Antique patristic literature linked the ascetic ideal with the anti-Jewish polemics. His spiritual interpretation of the true circumcision> as a kind of fuga mundi demands, at the same time, an absolute repulse of the Jewish circumcision and any Judaizing influences. El presbítero Eutropio (siglo V), escritor eclesiástico de probable origen hispano o aquitano, constituye un ejemplo paradigmático de la literatura patrística tardoantigua que vincula el ideal ascético con la polémica antijudía. Su interpretación espiritual de la verdadera circuncisión como una especie de fuga mundi exige, al mismo tiempo, un rechazo absoluto de la circuncisión judía y de todas las influencias judaizantes.
