THEOLINGUSTICS IN MODERN HUMANITIES: ORIGINS, BASIC IDEAS AND TRENDS

In the present paper the epistemological analysis is carried out to explore the origins and ways of forming a new integrated discipline – theolinguistics which aims at examining the interaction between language and religion. Theolinguistics is viewed in a broad cultural-historical context as a unity of its various modes and aspects. The paper reveals the high relevance of this discipline in the development of the humanities as well as in the development of the spiritual life of modern society.
