Effect of the sowing season and densities in grain yield in soybean, in the South-center region of Tocatins State

The objective was to evaluate the influence of different times and seeding rates on seed yield of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill.) in south-central region of Tocantins state. Four experiments were installed in the agricultural year 2008/09. The experimental design was a randomized block design with three replications and 36 treatments. The treatments were arranged in a factorial 3 x 3 x 2 x 2, consisting of three cultivars (M-SOY 9144 RR, M-SOY 8867 RR and P98Y70), three seeding rates (6, 10 and 14 plants per meter), two sowing dates in each of the two municipalities. The first sowing date in Gurupi was December 3 and the second on December 18, 2008. In Palmas, the first time was on November 31 and the second on December 16 2008. The variables measured were plant height and insertion of first pod, hundred seed weight and seed yield. It may be noted that with the delay of sowing date the grain yield decreases, but the increase of seeding rate depends on the cultivar and the variables are dependent on the season and the municipality of planting. The results of Palmas provided the cultivars the highest average yield and the city of Gurupi the best development of soybean plant. El objetivo fue evaluar la influencia de diferentes épocas y densidades de siembra sobre el rendimiento de grano de soja (Glycine max (L.) Merrill), en la región centro-sur del Estado de Tocantins. Fueran instalados cuatro ensayos en el a o agrícola 2008/09. El dise o experimental fue de bloques al azar con tres repeticiones y 36 tratamientos. Los tratamientos fueron arreglados en un factorial 3 x 3 x 2 x 2, que consta de tres cultivares (M-SOY 9144 RR, M-soja RR 8867 y P98Y70), tres densidades de siembra (6, 10 y 14 plantas por metro lineal) y dos fechas de siembra en los dos municipios de Gurupi y Palmas. La primera fecha de siembra en Gurupi fue en 3 de diciembre y el segundo día 18 de diciembre 2008. En Palmas la primera época fue 31 de noviembre y la segunda en 16 de diciembre 2008. Las variables evaluadas fueron altura de la planta y la inserción de la primera vaina, peso de cien semillas y el rendimiento de grano. Se ha observado que el retraso de la siembra disminuye el rendimiento de granos, pero el aumento de la densidad de siembra depende de la variedad, las variables evaluadas son dependientes de la época y de lo municipio de plantío. Los resultados de la ciudad de Palmas han mostrado mayores promedios de lo rendimiento de granos y para la ciudad de Gurupi, el mejor desarrollo de la planta de soja.
