Autocompreens o da igreja católica romana em rela o ao pluralismo social e religioso =Self-understanding in the roman catholic church in relation to social and religious pluralism

O presente artigo foi resultado de uma palestra proferida no Seminário Católico-Luterano sobre Eclesiologia Ecumênica, acontecido em S o Leopoldo, RS, sob a coordena o da Comiss o de Diálogo Bilateral Católico-Luterano do Brasil. O objetivo do texto é mostrar a autocompreens o que a Igreja Católica Romana, como é a terminologia usual no diálogo ecumênico, tem de si mesma, a fim de favorecer um diálogo com a Igreja de Confiss o Luterana no Brasil (IECLB). Diante disso, iniciou-se com a abordagem da autoidentidade da Igreja, perpassando os principais pontos doutrinais, de acordo com a sua Tradi o e reflex o teológica, e que exprimem sua identidade para, em seguida, examinar a sua rela o com o pluralismo social e religioso. O autor procurou, através de uma linguagem, ao mesmo tempo, sincera e respeitosa, perpassar os principais pontos doutrinais, a fim de favorecer um diálogo ecumênico em torno da Eclesiologia. This article was the result of a lecture given at the Catholic-Lutheran Seminar on Ecumenical Ecclesiology, held in Sao Leopoldo, RS, coordinated by the Commission for Catholic-Lutheran Bilateral Dialogue of Brazil. The purpose of the paper is to show the self-understanding that the Roman Catholic Church, as is the usual terminology in ecumenical dialogue, has of itself, in order to promote a dialogue with the Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil (IECLB). Thus, the route taken was to start with the approach to the Church’s self-identity, passing through the major doctrinal points that express its identity, according to their Tradition and theological reflection, and then examine their relationship with social and religious pluralism. The author has, through a sincere and respectful language, permeated the major doctrinal points, in order to foster an ecumenical dialogue concerning Ecclesiology.
