COMPUTER IMAGE ANALYSIS OF MALARIAL PLASMODIUM VIVAX IN HUMAN RED BLOOD CELLS

This project aims to study computer image analysis of malarial parasites using morphological operators as its main method of approach. Malaria is a life-threatening parasitic disease transmitted through female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is found throughout the tropical and subtropical regions of the world, and affects over 300 million people annually. As globalization, ease and frequency of travel increase, malaria cases may occur in any country. Over one million people die due to malaria every year.
