Panorama do poder executivo estadual e suas contribui es para a democracia digital no Brasil

The study aims to survey Brazilian digital democracy initiatives, from those offered by the State Government websites. Seeking to answer the question if these websites serve as a means of strengthening democracy in Brazil, we turn to the literature of digital democracy as a theoretical basis and conduct an exploratory descriptive study, examining 26 state government websites and the federal District. In this investigations we make categories that are framed the information and services offered by each government a thus assess the current situation of these initiatives. The results demonstrate that the providing general information and transparency which are prevalent among the initiatives found.
