Estratégias Comunicacionais e Media es Produzidas por Jovens do Hip-Hop

Hip hop has struggled in trying to report and seek solutions to factors such as urban violence, police violence, racial discrimination, inequality in income distribution, failure of educational network, among others. In this paper our goal is to analyze the actions of peripheral cultural youngsters’ hip-hop as a possibility for new mediations in contemporary political practices. In this article we discuss the theoretical and political contribution of Cultural Studies and its focus on the process of cultural significance, present in the urban fabric of the contemporary scene, which enables the creation of new narratives, not unilinear perspective, but one open to different understandings.
