Improvement of the parameters of radio signal mixer by using resonant tunnel diodes

The use of a resonant tunnel diode(RTD)in a radio signal mixer for improvement of the radio electronic system parameters was studied. The carried out experiments has established that the major advantage of mixers based on resonant tunnel diodes as compared to the mixer with a Schottky diode is volume expansion. The use of the mixer based on RTDs can improve the sensitivity and robustness of the receiver.
