Thermal conductivity of vacuum volume attenuators of microwave energy

Abstract:

The results of experimental investigation of thermal conductivity in attenuators with ceramic base from aluminum nitride and conducting phase from molybdenum, tungsten and silicon carbide by different content are presented. Thermal conductivity characteristics and parameters of vacuum investigated lossy materials and known ones with electrical loss are given. It is shown, that for all considered materials of bulk attenuators of microwave energy between their thermal conductivity and absorption level there is an inverse dependence.
