A autenticidade do material didático para o ensino de inglês com língua estrangeira / The authenticity of the pedagogical material for the teaching of English as a foreign languageKeywords: authenticity , English as a foreign language , pedagogic material , oral input , tasks Abstract: The present article concerns authenticity in course books for the teaching of English as a foreign language (EFL) in Brazil. It focuses on the investigation of a number of recent EFL textbooks to assess the degree of authenticity of their oral input and classroom tasks. The analysis has shown that a few of these materials already exhibit a number of authentic features.
