The laser beam welding of titanium grade 2 alloy

The paper deals with the laser beam welding of titanium grade 2 alloy. Titanium alloys have a wide utilisation mainly in automotive and aerospace industry, because of good mechanical properties, low weight and good corrosion resistance. The results of the experiment proved that the solid-state laser beam welding of the titanium can produce the joints of good quality, although the further research activity is still to come.
