Both computer and Net decide strong tools of action on contemporary, especially young human. From one side those medias support his development but from the other side they can also have destructive character. Colloquial opinions shows very different consciousness of the people on the theme of the risk results from using of the computer and the Internet as well as on the theme of the responsible behavior in touch with them. In the relation to this present researches raise challenge to answer given questions: what dangers notice Polish and American youth from the side of the computer and the Internet?; which areas of dangers are important to them?; what reasons, effects, sorts and results of danger individual areas they specify?Po íta , rovnako ako aj internet, tvorí vplyvny nástroj na sú asného, najm mladého loveka. Na jednej strane tieto médiá pomáhajú rozvíja sa, na druhej strane m u ma de truktívny charakter. Laické názory poukazujú na ve mi rozmanité povedomie udí tykajúce sa rizika vyplyvajúceho z pou ívania po íta ov a internetu ako aj zodpovedného správania sa pri kontakte s nimi. V súvislosti s tym sa niektoré túdie pokúsili odpoveda na nasledujúcu otázku: existenciu akych hrozieb zo strany po íta ov a internetu si uvedomuje po ská a americká mláde , aké hrozby sú pre ne najd le itej ie, ako definujú prí iny, prejavy, druhy a následky hrozieb v jednotlivych oblastiach?
