From the history of information technology education

The term information technology has been present for about twenty years of the last century. It has become popular thanks to personal computers which have fully revolutionized lives of the society. For many people this is the beginning o introduction of a new school subject connected with computers. This association is at the same time true and untrue. You can agree with those who perceive this stage as a machine operated information technology i.e. the one which has been done with the use of information technology equipment. On the other hand, it is untrue if you turn back in time to the 1970s of the twentieth century. That was the time of a so-called non-machine operated information technology.
