EVALUATION OF THE FOLK ARTS AND CRAFTS PROGRAMME FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE

In the article the author pointed out the results aimed at finding the UTA students′ motivation and attitudes to the Folk crafts study program. At the Department of Technics and Informational Technologies of the PF UKF in Nitra, a research ha been carried out focused on finding the attributes of quality of life in general and on the quality of life of the seniors and adults studying at the UTA.We compared the results with those of the Comenius University (UK) in Bratislava as well as those of Pre ov University. Results showed that there is a need to create such an environment and programmes that enable ageing people and seniors to cope with new knowledge and information, which maintain and develop their abilities and skills, meet the demands of the modern society, and satisfy their interests and needs.
