Abstract:

Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next throughteaching, training, research, or simply through autodidacticism.1 Generally, it occursthrough any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts.Presumably every generation, since the beginning of human existence, somehow passedon its stock of values, traditions, methods and skills to the next generation.2 The passingon of culture is also known as enculturation and the learning of social values andbehaviours is socialization. The history of the curricula of such education reflectshistory itself, the history of knowledge, beliefs, skills and cultures of humanity.3
