MENTAL HEALTH OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN RELATION TO SELF-CONFIDENCEDOI: 10.9780/22315063 Keywords: Mental Health , Self Confidence , Secondary School Students , Adolescents , Government and Private Schools Abstract: With the increasing knowledge in manifolds and related pressure on the individual, it is very difficult to keep balance of body, mind and soul. As said 'healthy body has healthy mind'. If a student is healthy, he will be full of self-confidence. Here a study is conducted to find the relationship between Mental Health of a student and his Self-confidence. The sample for the study was taken from three districts of Punjab i.e. Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib and Ropar. 600 class X students from Government and Private school were included in the sample. It is found that majority of adolescents have average level of mental health and self confidence. Here from this point we can say in the state of Punjab, society is not aware about the Mental Health so the students. The importance of the Mental Health is realized here and need serious attempt on the part of society and NGOs to aware the people and make a future of healthy Body, Mind and Soul.
