A STUDY ON SUICIDAL IDEATION AMONG HIGHER SECONDARY STUDENTS IN RELATION TO THEIR STUDY STRESS

A study was conducted to find out the level of suicidal ideation and study stress among higher secondary school students. It was also tried to find out the difference among the students based on demographic variables like Gender (Male and Female), Location of the school (Rural and Urban) and the study stress. The total number of 585 samples were collected through a random sampling technique in Palani Taluk at Dindigul district. The major finding of the study is higher secondary students from rural area have high level of study stress.
