A STUDY OF ROLE OF ICT IN SCHOOL EDUCATION AND UNIVERSITY LEVEL

This research paper discusses the Role of ICTin education at school as well as university and higher education level. An information communication technology (ICT) at present is influencing every aspect of human life. It is playing salient roles in work places, business, education, and entertainment. Moreover, many people recognize ICTs as catalysts for change; change in working conditions, handling and exchanging information, teaching methods, learning approaches, scientific research, and in accessing information. Therefore, this research paper discusses the roles of ICTand key challenges of integration to education systems. The paper concludes that regardless of all the limitations characterizing it, ICTbenefits education systems to provide quality education in alignment withconstructivism, which is a contemporary paradigm of learning. Finally, technology is never a substitute for good teaching. Without skilled instructors, no electronic delivery can achieve good results. But neither can traditional classroom teaching, come to that.
