EIGEN CONJUGATION FOR SHOT BOUNDARY DETECTION.

In this paper, we address the problem of shot boundary detection, which is an essential pre-processing step invideo analysis applications. We present a novel model for detection of shot boundaries based on eigen conjugation ofadjacent frames. Also, in this paper we present a method of classifying the shot boundaries using template matchingtechnique. Experimentation is carried out on two different categories of videos such as entertainment videos and sportsvideos.
