Cérebro, linguagem e funcionamento cognitivo na perspectiva sócio-histórico-cultural: inferências a partir do estudo das afasias = Brain, language and cognitive functioning in the social-historical-cultural approach: inferences from the study of aphasia

Este artigo visa apresentar e discutir, criticamente, (i) os princípios teóricos das abor- dagens sócio-histórico-culturais que guiam a pesquisa acadêmica no campo da Neurolinguística de orienta o enunciativo-discursiva, mobilizando postulados fundamentais de Vygotsky e Luria, com rela o ao funcionamento cerebral, bem como reflex es de Coudry, Franchi e Novaes-Pinto, no que concerne à concep o e funcionamento de linguagem; (ii) quest es metodológicas relativas às pesquisas qualitativas dos fen menos afasiológicos, respaldadas pelos trabalhos de Freitas, Damico et al. , dentre outros; e, finalmente, (iii) como os estudos de casos e as análises qualitativas contribuem para as pesquisas no ambito da Neurolinguística, que visam compreender aspectos do funcionamento cognitivo e a rela o entre cérebro e linguagem. This article aims to present and discuss, critically: (i) the theoretical principles of socio-historical-cultural approaches which guide the academic research in the field of enunciative-discursive Neurolinguistics, mobilizing with the main postulates of Vygotsky and Luria, concerning the brain functioning, as well as the reflections carried out by Coudry, Franchi and Novaes-Pinto, related to the conception of language and its functioning; (ii) methodological questions related to the qualitative researches of aphasiological phenomena, guided by the works of Freitas, Damico et al. , among others; and, finally, (iii) how case studies and qualitative analysis contribute to the research in the field of Neurolinguistics, in order to understand aspects of cognitive functioning and the relation between brain and language.
