Mesma carne, outro sangue: notas introdutórias sobre as rela es culturais republicanas entre Portugal e Brasil = Same flesh, a different blood: introductory notes on the Republican and cultural relations between Portugal and Brazil

Este estudo, preponderantemente introdutório, intenta p r em cena elementos historiográficos que pautaram as rela es culturais entre Portugal e Brasil a partir da proclama o da república portuguesa em 1910. Levam-se em conta os seguintes elementos balizadores do debate, imprescindíveis à proposta: notas sobre a quest o republicana, a imigra o, os conceitos de nacional e col nia, até chegar ao item central de interesse: os estudos literários. O artigo apresenta rápida aprecia o da historiografia da literatura comparatista entre obras e autores do início do século XX nos dois países lusófonos. This study – of markedly introductory nature – aims at bringing into scene the historiographic elements which have grounded the cultural relations between Portugal and Brazil as of the Portuguese proclamation of Republic in 1910. It takes into account the following elements which underpinned the debate; and which were needful to the debate proposal: notes on the Republican issue, immigration, the concept of national and colony; and then the key item of interest: the literary studies. This study presents a brief review of the historiography of the comparative literature of works and authors in the onset of the 20th century in those two lusophonic countries.
