EA creates opportunity for an effective interaction between business and ITC world. Moreover, EA serves as the blueprint for a company and the process which defines it. An enterprise architecture framework (EAF) is a communication model for developing enterprise architecture. An EAF maps all of the processes within the enterprise and how they relate and interact to fulfill the enterprise’s mission. For an organization it provides the ability to discover, to understand and to analyze weaknesses and address them. This paper defines enterprise architecture modeling and shows that service orientation, is a key to coherent enterprise architecture description. Main work done by this study provides a comparison of the chosen frameworks (ZACHMAN, TOGAF 9, FEAF and DoDAF 2.0) based on views which describe services. Conclusions made by paper, could be used as the guidance to extend particular framework to gain coherent enterprise description.
