Steganography Using RSA Algorithm

Steganography is the art and science of writinghidden messages in such a way that no one, apart from the senderand intended recipient, suspects the existence of the message, aform of security through obscurity. It is an emerging area which isused for secured data transmission over any public media. In thisstudy a novel approach of image steganography based on LSB(Least Significant Bit) insertion and RSA encryption techniquefor the lossless jpeg images has been proposed. In this paper, wepresent a strategy of attaining maximum embedding capacity inan image in a way that maximum possible neighboring pixels areanalyzed for their frequencies, to determine the amount ofinformation to be added in each pixel. The technique provides aseamless insertion of data into the carrier image and reduces theerror assessment and artifacts insertion required to a minimal. Wejustify our approach with the help of an experimental evaluationon a prototypic implementation of the proposed model.
