In the title compound, C9H12N2O2, the acetohydrazide group is approximately planar [maximum deviation = 0.034 (2) ]. In the crystal, molecules are linked via intermolecular N—H...O, N—H...N and C—H...O hydrogen bonds into infinite two-dimensional networks parallel to (001).
