A Romanian writer of avant-garde in Paris: Benjamin Fondane

o. 14/ 2011 of the “Cahiers Benjamin Fondane”, published by the Benjamin Fondane Studies Society, offers the possibility of access, for the francophone reader, at the text of on interview published by Sarina Cassvan in the Romanian review “Rampa”, the 12th of February 1930.This dialogue is important for the analysts of Fundoianu / Fondane’s work because of the perspective it offers, more exactly the guidelines that Fondane offers concerning his relation with Fundoianu, his Romanian avatar.By analysing the text, we can identify the most important discussed aspects, like: causes of Benjamin Fundoianu’s departure from Romania, his relations with the French culture, the possibility of coming back, his opinion about the Romanian cultural environment etc.
