Abstract: This paper presents a mathematical model of a DC motor. We have developed a mathematical model using differential equations and in turn develop the analysis also relevant in terms of physical variables is taken into the motor, such as mechanical load coupled thereto. Additionally we have simulated and obtained the response of speed control which can be a function of the field current and for this we used SIMULINK, a MATLAB tool.
