The northern side rooms of the Terme Milano at Gortys: the limekiln Gli ambienti sul lato Nord delle Terme Milano a Gortina: la calcara

The archaeological excavation conducted by the University of Milan at the site of Gortys (Crete) in 2010 on the northern side of the “Terme Milano” has revealed a new room of the building, called G, characterized by a pebbles paving. On the paving a little limekiln was discoreved, testifying the last phase of life of the abandoned building. Gli scavi condotti dall’Università degli studi di Milano a Gortina (Creta) nel 2010 negli ambienti sul lato nord delle Terme Milano, hanno messo in luce un nuovo ambiente delle terme, cosiddetto G, caratterizzato da una pavimentazione in ciottoli. Al di sopra si imposta una piccola calcara, testimonianza dell’ultima fase di vita del complesso ormai defunionalizzato.
