Treatment of Seconder Spontaneous Pneumothorax with “Otolog Blood Patch” PleurodesisKeywords: Pneumothorax , Pleurodesis , Otolog Blood Patch Abstract: Pneumothorax is a collection of air between the visceral and parietal pleura. If pneumothorax occurs in patients with pulmonary disease, it called as seconder spontaneous pneumothorax. Pleurodesis is an operation that removing pleural space providing to adhesion of visceral and pleurals via giving sclerosing agent by means of chest tube or thoracoscopy. Aims of pleurodesis are preventing to recurrent pleural effusions or pneumothorax and providing full expansion of the lung. Pleurodesis procedures can be applied safely with low recurrence rate, when the tube thoracostomy remains unsuccessful. Herein, we represented analyze of ten patients in whom performed pleurodesis with otolog blood patch in our department in between July 2009-December 2010.
